A secret organization ruthlessly seeks power over supernatural terrors in this globe-trotting anthology of arcane mystery and adventure, from the bestselling world of Arkham Horror Beyond our world lies another, one full of paranormal forces and eldritch horrors, and once that membrane has been pierced, life can never be the same again. In every corner of the globe, a secret international organization is seizing objects of extreme supernatural power. They declare themselves defenders of humanity, fighting off the darkness which presses against the veil shrouding our reality from the unknowable. But do their claims of altruism ring true? And should a shadowy cabal be permitted to wield such power alone? From the world of Arkham Horror comes an exciting new anthology that delves into the mysterious Red Coterie and those who seek to stop them.
CHARLOTTE LLEWELYN-WELLS is a bibliophile who took a wrong turn in the wardrobe and ended up as an editor - luckily it was the best choice she ever made. She' s a geek and fangirl with an addiction to unicorns, ice hockey and ice cream. JAMES FADELEY is a software engineer by day and a writer by night. While this sounds hectic, he has recently become a father and thus no longer sleeps. When not feeding the milk vampire his daughter, he can be found researching topics for his next story. James is a huge fan of Mansions of Madness and both board and video games in general. CARRIE HARRIS is a geek of all trades and proud of it. She' s an experienced author of tie-in fiction, former tabletop game executive and published game designer who lives in Utah. DAVIDE MANA was born and raised in Turin, Italy, with brief stints in London, Bonn and Urbino, where he studied paleontology (with a specialization in marine plankton) and geology. He currently lives in the wine hills of southern Piedmont, where he is a writer, translator and game designer. In his spare time, he cooks and listens to music, photographs the local feral cats, and collects old books. He co-hosts a podcast about horror movies, called Paura & Delirio. JOSH REYNOLDS is the author of over thirty novels and numerous short stories, including the wildly popular Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. He grew up in South Carolina and now lives in Sheffield, UK. DAVID ANNANDALE is a Canadian writer of Doctor Doom, Arkham Horror and Legend of the Five Rings fiction for Aconyte, and Horus Heresy, Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar and Warhammer Horror fiction for Black Library. Among his recent novels are Reign of the Devourer and The Harrowing of Doom. He is also the author of the horror novel Gethsemane Hall and the Jen Blaylock thriller series. By day, he is Senior Instructor in the Department of English, Theatre, Film & Media at the University of Manitoba, where he specializes in genre film and video games. He is also a co-host of the Hugo-nominated podcast The Skiffy and Fanty Show. MJ NEWMAN is a writer and senior game developer with Fantasy Flight Games in Roseville, MN. She is the co-designer of Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and is an enthusiast of horror, fantasy, and romance. Her credentials include insomnia, existential dread, and jumping in fear whenever she sees a spider. LISA SMEDMAN is the author of more than 20 books, ranging from science fiction and fantasy novels to non-fiction histories of the Vancouver, the city where she lives. In 2004, one of her Forgotten Realms novels made the New York Times best sellers list. She is also an accomplished game designer, having written dozens of adventures for the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game and other tabletop RPGs. She worked as a journalist for 25 years, and now makes her living teaching video game design at a local college. STEVEN PHILIP JONES has written over sixty novels, graphic novels, radio scripts and non-fiction books for adults and young adults. Steven' s best known credits include the graphic novel series H. P. Lovecraft Worlds, the horror-adventure comics series Nightlinger, and the review text The Clive Cussler Adventures: A Critical Review. A graduate of the University of Iowa, Steven majored in Journalism and Religion and was accepted into Iowa' s prestigious Writers' Workshop MFA Program.
