Lucy Fisher is an award-winning journalist. She is currently deputy political editor of The Daily Telegraph, and previously defence editor of The Times, where she was also chief political correspondent. As a broadcaster, she makes regular appearances on the BBC, Sky News, Times Radio, the British Forces Broadcasting Service and other outlets. Lucy is a previous winner of the Anthony Howard Award for young journalists and an MHP "30 under 30" in British journalism award, and she has been shortlisted for other prizes. Her first book Emily Wilding Davison: The Martyr Suffragette was published in 2013 and republished with an updated introduction in 2018, ahead of the centenary anniversary of women gaining the vote. She read Classics at University College, Oxford, and now lives in London with her husband.
