Christine Hallett is Professor of Nursing History at the University of Manchester and Chair of the UK Association for the History of Nursing. She was the founding Chair of the European Association for the History of Nursing, and has published extensively on the subjects of nursing education, clinical nursing, and the history of wartime nursing. She holds Fellowships of both the Royal Society for the Arts and the Royal Society of Medicine.
