A training manual of practical and experimental exercises to reclaim the means of production of the future. Training for the Future is a training camp where audiences are turned into trainees to pre-enact alternative scenarios of the future to reclaim the means of production for the future. This handbook gathers training manuals, interviews, and documentation of the various training camps that took place from 2018 to 2021.
Florian Malzacher is an independent performing arts curator, dramaturge, and writer. His publications include Truth is Concrete- A Handbook for Artistic Strategies in Real Politics, Not Just a Mirror- Looking for the Political Theatre of Today, and Empty Stages, Crowded Flats- Performativity as Curatorial Strategy (with Joanna Warsza). Jonas Staal is a visual artist whose work deals with the relation between art, propaganda, and democracy. He is the founder of the artistic and political organization New World Summit (2012-ongoing). Together with Florian Malzacher he co-directs the training camp Training for the Future (2018-ongoing), and with human rights lawyer Jan Fermon he initiated the collective action lawsuit Collectivize Facebook (2020-ongoing). With writer and lawyer Radha D' Souza he founded the Court for Intergenerational Climate Crimes (2021-ongoing) and with Laure Prouvost he is co-administrator of the Obscure Union. His most recent book is Propaganda Art in the 21st Century (The MIT Press).

Locally sourced in NZ - stock comes from a NZ supplier with an approximate delivery of 7-15 business days.

International Imports - stock is imported into NZ, depending on air or sea shipping option from the international supplier stock can take 10-30 working days to arrive into NZ. 

Pre-order Titles - delivery will vary depending on where the title is published, if local stock is available in NZ then 5-7 business days, for international imports it can be 10-30 business days. In all cases we will access the quickest supply option.

Delivery Packaging - we ship all items in cardboard sleeves or by box with either packing paper or corn starch chips. (We avoid using plastics bubble bags)

Tracking - Orders are delivered by track and trace courier and are fully insured, tracking information will be sent by email once dispatched.
