Geometric Taxonomy gets closer to the geometries of Carlos Ferrater and OAB that are present in timeless architecture, those that are explicit in the great treatises, those that dazzled us with ' the correct and magnificent wise play of forms under the light' , the elemental forms that inspired modernity a hundred years ago.
Spanish architect graduated in 1969 from the Barcelona School of Architecture (Catalonia Tech, UCP), where he was chair professor of architectural construction. In 1983 he joined the designer and architect Lluis Clotet, to establish his own studio. Since then the collaboration of the two architects has led them to erect buildings full of creativity and imagination and they have been awarded several prizes. Its buildings include a residential building in the Olympic Village (1992) and the Illa de la Llum (2005). In his own words, modern architecture has opted for eternal youth, the smoothness of a skin without spots or wrinkles seems to be the goal of contemporary imagery, but time paints with the brush of rain and the color of dirt. Its buildings outline a reflection on the possibility, chronologically and meteorologically, of foreseeing the trace of time. Founding Partner Architect of OAB (Office of Architecture in Barcelona) together with Xavier Marti, Carlos & Lucia Ferrater in January 2006. He is a FAD (Spain' s national award) prize winner in the category of "ephemeral architecture" together with Carlos Ferrater for the exhibition in Madrid: "M. C. Escher El arte de lo impossible".
