Undergraduate students studying sport history in physical education, kinesiology, or human kinetics programs across Canada. A reference for academic libraries and sport studies researchers.
Carly Adams, PhD, is a Board of Governors research chair (Tier II), an associate professor in the department of kinesiology, and a founding member of the Centre for Oral History and Tradition at the University of Lethbridge, where she has taught sport history courses over the past 12 years. As a social historian and an advocate for oral history, she explores community, resiliency, and gender in her research, with a focus on sport, recreation, and leisure experiences.

Adams is author of Queens of the Ice, a book about the Preston Rivulettes women's hockey team from the 1930s, and coeditor (with Murray Phillips and Doug Booth) of the Routledge Handbook of Sport History. She is the editor of Sport History Review. She is also the coleader (with Darren J. Aoki) of Nikkei Memory Capture Project. Funded by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight grant, it is a community-based oral history project exploring the histories of Japanese Canadians in postwar southern Alberta.
