The 4th booklet in a series aligned to Maori food systems. This booklet covers the production and promotion of Saffron as an opportunity for Maori, especially those with limited resources. The book includes an introduction to the cultural relationship to Saffron and other spices. The booklet was conceived by the late Makuini Chadwick, a founding member of Tahuri Whenua, the Maori Horticultural collective. The collation of information had been mostly completed by the time she passed, and the completion of the book is now achieved and recently launched by Tahuri Whenua.
