The gripping new novel from the author of LITTLE WHITE LIES. ' Compelling and beautfully written' Debbie Howells, author of The Vow ' Taut, tantalizing suspense' Samantha M. Bailey, author of Woman on the Edge ' Engrossing and affecting. ' Roz Watkins, author of The Devil' s Dice Home can be the most dangerous place. . . In a small London bedsit, a radio is playing. A small dining table is set for three, and curled up on the sofa is a body. . . Jenn is the one who discovers the woman, along with the bailiffs. All indications suggest that the tenant - Sarah Jones - was pretty, charismatic and full of life. So how is it possible that her body has lain undiscovered for ten whole months? What readers are saying about Safe and Sound ' Addictive and tense - one of the very best books I' ve read this year. ' ' This is the second novel I' ve read by this author, and they seem to get better every time. ' ' The tension builds and there are some unexpected shocks along the way . . . Philippa East has a lot of talent and I look forward to reading her next book!' ' Absolutely loved this book. Would really recommend this story. I thought the plot was very good and the story had a few twists and turns along the way. ' ' Philippa East' s Safe and Sound is a remarkable novel . . . A deep and engrossing thriller that should be on everyone' s 2021 reading list. '
' So compelling and beautifully written, and gives the reader a real insight into the issues of anxiety and loneliness. ' Debbie Howells, author of The Vow' An atmospheric, page-turning portrait of isolation and mental fragility combining heart-rending sensitivity with sock-it-to-' em twists. ' Helen Monks Takhar, author of Precious You' An engrossing, twisty tale of truth, lies, and the stories we tell in our own minds. ' Nell Pattison, author of The Silent House' A terrific book. Philippa East has somehow maintained a real sense of foreboding throughout but at the same time there' s a genuine poignancy in the fears that beset almost all the characters. ' Trevor Wood, author of The Man on the Street' In this taut, tantalizing suspense, Philippa East constructs a seamless plot with a breathless pace. Safe and Sound is gripping, spellbinding, and completely addictive. East is a stunning, must-read voice in the thriller genre. ' Samantha M. Bailey, author of USA Today and #1 national bestseller Woman on the Edge' I loved this engrossing and affecting novel which is beautifully written and deeply insightful about mental health and loneliness. ' Roz Watkins, author of The Devil' s Dice ' A clever and gripping psychological thriller . . . It draws the reader into the character' s mind and onwards to a startling conclusion. ' Jenny Quintana, author of The Missing Girl' Such a brilliant portrayal of the chasm that often exists between the reality of our lives and how we portray ourselves. It drew me in from the first chapter and had me hooked until the end!' Nikki Smith, author of All in Her Head ' Captivating and heartbreaking. An emotional family drama filled with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. ' Laure Van Rensburg, author of The Downfall
