His work spans different genre and audiences, specializing in children' s fiction, fantasy, humor, history, romance, gaming, and LGBTQ issues. Trujillo speaks for inclusiveness and diversity in popular media, and works alongside groups including the USC ONE Archive and Prism Comics.
