Dev and Boja embark on a thrilling journey towards home, through the chilling Wildening forests of magical Flember Island. To protect himself and his lovable, larger-than-life robot bear, Dev' s only hope is to truly grasp the extraordinary power of Flember. Because a scary creature' s on their trail, their new friends are counting on them, and Boja is behaving very strangely. A fantastical, anarchic, uplifting quest celebrating friendship, creativity and loyalty.
A funny tale of friendship, inventiveness, and, ultimately, about taking responsibility for your mistakes * The BookBag, praise for the Flember series * Fast-paced, astoundingly inventive, raucously hilarious, deeply moving even while sagely exploring how carefree childishness grows into empathy and responsibility * Comics Review, praise for the Flember series * Packed with humour * Books for Keeps, praise for the Flember series *
Jamie Smart studied art at college for four years, but it was just an excuse to practise drawing animals with boggly-eyes. His comic Fish-Head Steve was the first comic to be shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Jamie has illustrated comics for The Sunday Times, the Dandy and the Beano. His well-loved Bunny vs Monkey and Looshkin stories are regularly published in The Phoenix comic, and as bestselling graphic novels.
