Commencing with a cyclone annihilating downtown Auckland, the novel dares to challenge the world's puppet governments and an economic system that requires environmental destruction to satisfy human need and greed, until nature retaliates. The novel has a dual setting of New Zealand and Tanzania, where on the slopes of the Ngorongoro massif a New Zealand led team begin a massive tree planting programme. Easier said than done when the world's politicians are committed to serving their masters at the expense of the environment and their people.
Clark James wrote this novel in 1992 after visiting East Africa and India, and has updated it to include physical and technological changes.
