Peter Cook has been a pivotal figure within the architecture world forover half a century. He first came to international renown in the 1960s as afounder of the radical, experimental group Archigram, winners of the 2002 RIBA RoyalGold Medal. He is also former Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts(ICA), London, and Emeritus Professor and former Chair of the Bartlett Schoolof Architecture (University College London). Professor Sir Peter Cook RA is founder of Archigram, former Director of theInstitute for Contemporary Art (ICA), London, and Bartlett School ofArchitecture (University College London). Awards and accolades include: 2002RIBA Royal Gold Medal, a knighthood from the Queen in 2007 for services toarchitecture and an honorary doctorate from Lund University in Sweden. He isalso a Royal Academician and a Commandeur de l' Ordre des Arts et Lettres of theFrench Republic. He is currently a Senior Fellow of the Royal College of Art,London. His professorships include those of the Royal Academy, UniversityCollege London and the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste (Staedelschule) inFrankfurt-Main, Germany. He has executed built works in Vienna, Graz, Osaka,Nagoya, Berlin, Frankfurt and Madrid and a school of architecture for Bond Universityin Queensland, Australia. A familiar voice within cultural institutions aroundthe world, Peter lectures internationally.
