Marianne Kaurin (b. 1974) has earned several literary awards for her books for children and young adults. Her debut novel "Almost Autumn" was awarded The Ministry of Culture' s First Book Award 2012, Best YA 2012, and the American The Sydney Taylor Book Award 2018. "Blue Lagoon Deluxe" is nominated for the Deutsche Jugendliteraturpreis 2021, awarded the German LUCHS of the Month Prize by Radio Bremen and DIE ZEIT and Book of the Month by Deutsche Akademie Fur Kinder- und Jugendliteratur. The audio edition is on the German radio channel h2 Best Book of the Year list. Marianne Kaurin has studied creative writing and literature at the Norwegian Institute for Children' s Books. She works as a children' s book editor.
