Originally from South India, Sudha Rao migratedto Dunedin with her parents and trained in ClassicalSouth Indian dance. She moved to Wellington toestablish Dance Aotearoa New Zealand (DANZ). Sudha' s poems have appeared in literary journals andanthologies in New Zealand and overseas, includingKo Aotearoa Tatou: We Are New Zealand and BestNew Zealand Poems. Sudha was a participant in theInternational Bengaluru Poetry Festival 2019 andperforms in Wellington with Meow Gurrrls.
