Marjorie Bremner was born in the U. S. and educated in psychology and social sciences at the University of Chicago and Columbia University. In 1946 she came to London to work on her Ph. D. in political science. Here she became a researcher for the Hansard society, lecturer, journalist specializing in social and political problems, reviewer and author of detective stories.
