Lord David Howell of Guildford was first elected as a MP in 1966. He was Margaret Thatchers first Secretary of State for Energy and later became Secretary of State for Transport. In 2000 he became Chairman of the British Institute for Energy Economics and in 2003 he became Chairman of the Windsor Energy Group. He is the only Minister to have served in Heath, Thatcher and Cameron Administrations. His previous books include Out of the Energy Labyrinth. WilliamHague, Baron Hague of Richmond, PC, FRSL, is a British Conservative politician and life peer. He represented Richmond, Yorkshire as Member of Parliament (MP) from 1989 to 2015 and was the Leader of the Opposition from 1997 to 2001.
