ELLEN BRYANT VOIGT has published five volumes of poetry--Claiming Kin (1976), The Forces of Plenty (1983, reissued 1995), The Lotus Flowers (1987), Two Trees (1992), and Kyrie (1995), a National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist. She has co-edited a collection of essays, Poets Teaching Poets: Self and the World (1996), and has published The Flexible Lyric (1999), a volume of craft essays. A recipient of National Endowment for the Arts, Guggenheim, and Lila Wallace fellowships, Voigt teaches in the low-residency MFA Program at Warren Wilson College.
