The Exploring Effective Leadership Practices through Popular Culture series aims to make leadership theories clearer to readers so that they are better able to put them into practice. In this latest volume, Dr. Simha discusses various leadership styles, theories, and concepts like ethical leadership, servant leadership, authentic leadership, power, influence, and persuasion among others. He illustrates these various leadership concepts with examples from the magical world of Harry Potter. Leadership Insights for Wizards and Witches combines the irrepressibly imaginative context of J. K. Rowling' s Harry Potter series, in conjunction with the scholarly discipline of leadership. Readers will learn about key theories, using several illustrative examples of characters and situations from the Harry Potter series. This book encourages readers to think about how they themselves can approach personal and organizational problems by finding solutions using insights and perspectives gathered from the discipline of leadership. Apart from learning about how to effectively lead, readers will also gain understanding of how not to lead. The popular culture context helps us think creatively and teaches us on the best ways to use our imagination. The book is intended for a variety of readers, ranging from high school students to undergraduate students to professional practitioners, and of course for Harry Potter fans everywhere, regardless of their professional backgrounds.
