Her first book, How to Make a Movie in 12 Days, was a CBCA Notable book and shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award. Her second book, How to Write the Soundtrack to Your Life, won the 2021 Children' s Peace Literature Award. Fiona lives in Melbourne with a bunch of guitars, a keyboard, a clarinet, a violin, a harmonica and an accordion. Oh, and her partner, daughter, and cat. (The cat doesn' t play any of the instruments. Yet. )
