It's springtime in the village of Honeycote and romance is in the air... For the first time in her life, sweet-natured Ginny Tait has men falling at her feet. She could go for the safe option and choose dependable Keith Sherwyn. Or should she take a walk on the wild side with Bertie Meredith - immoral and totally irresistible? Then Barney and Susannah Blake arrive in Honeycote, to breathe new life into the village pub - and their marriage. It's not long before they discover they've landed in a veritable hotbed, complete with a naughty pair of nubile twins and a dodgy businessman with a closet full skeletons. An intoxicating mix of true love, dirty deeds and old scores waiting to be settled, Making Hay shows a side of viIIage Iife you've never seen before, where the old-timers are two timers and where appearances can he deceptive - just like the newcomers'
'Veronica Henry writes like a dream and I enjoyed every minute of this brilliant novel. A glorious Cotswold setting, lots of naughty goings-on and pacy storytelling par excellence - who could ask for more? I thought Honeycote was perfect, but Making Hay is even better' Jill Mansell
