Born in Saundersfoot, Cyril James Morrisjoined the Royal Navy as an Apprentice atage sixteen. He served twenty-two yearsas Marine and Aeronautical Engineer,followed by training as a HelicopterAnti-submarine pilot and eventually as aHelicopter Maintenance Test Pilot. After hisretirement he became a lobster fisherman inSaundersfoot for a couple of years and thentook up a position in the U. S. A. as an AerostatFlight Director. He returned to Saundersfootin 2014 to pursue his writing.
