Studies have suggested that while a majority of healthcare providers support medical cannabis, they feel under-educated on the matter. With over 3 million active medical cannabis patients in the US and growing, the need for more information is vital. Based on extensive research and medical expertise, The Green Elephant seeks to be the ultimate resource to help demystify cannabis-based therapy. The Green Elephant presents the history, biology, chemistry, and pharmacological effects of cannabis-based therapy. The book also presents the facts about cannabis in regard to ethics in practice, its legal history, and current regulatory status to enable healthcare professionals to better serve their patients.
