The long awaited biography of Maggie Kirkpatrick one of Australia's most longest and award winning actresses whose career and personal life has been in the headlines for decades with one of the most extensive careers in the Australian theatre and television industry and the role she is best known for Prisoner. A no holds back read on those she worked with in the industry and how she has survived a robust industry working with not only Australian household names but international celebrities around the world. Her very public legal battle to prove her innocence after being charged with a historic offense. While Margie was found innocent by a court of law she was savaged in the media with the media portraying her as her onscreen character,The Freak from Prisoner which after a year long trial of the fight of her life she was diagnosed with PTSD. With roles as Guard Joan in Prisoner Cell Block H, she also appeared in Home and Away, the movie Welcome to Woop Woop, The Pirate Movie, Voyage into Fear and toured in her Role in Wicked as Madame Morrible not only in Australia but in the UK. A wonderful and engaging read about a woman who has lived it all to tell the story and more. With a fun sense of humour and a passion for the Theatre world Maggie has lived a life like no other and brings an insight into her personal world. One of our favourite books to be released in 2019.
