Don Moore was the writer of Flash Gordon between 1935-1967. He was previously a pulp editor. Austin Briggs began his cartooning career in advertising as one of the original Mad Men of New York. This led to his first cartooning gig as assistant to the great Alex Raymond on the Sunday Flash Gordon series.
