These were women of glamorously shallow appearance and yet undeniably deep and complex substance - lives that were snuffed out too early, but which transformed into legends that continue to burn bright. AUTHOR: Shar Williams has a Masters degree in English and Creative Writing, and has contributed research to multiple published books about stars of the 1950s, and has written dozens of articles in magazines. Alongside writing, she has set up and runs Retro Daisy Vintage, an online clothing boutique (50,000 followers). She helps run Immortal Marilyn (16,000 members), and in 2007 & 2012 helped organise events at the Marilyn Monroe Memorial in LA, which attracted fans from around the globe, including Hollywood film producer A.C.
