The Tree Dispensary presents an appreciation of trees as the author has experienced them through everyday life, as a herb historian, and as a herbalist. Each of the thirty native trees discussed is examined at in three parts: The first ' Getting to know the Tree' covers a wide area of general knowledge from cultivation experience to cookery, wines, crafts and folklore. Next in ' History' voices from the past speak for themselves from original herbals, rather than presenting a modern view of the past. Lastly ' The Herbalist' s Reference' includes usages, dosage and constituents and the authors own wide experience of using these amazing tree remedies.
