Toby and Fred are two baby owls who live in the forest, in a big hollow tree, on the far side of the hill. Now owls are supposed to sleep by day, and fly by night. But on this day, while mother owl was sleeping, Toby and Fred decide to leave the nest and go exploring. Through the forest, over the paddocks, over the farm, and into the big red barn they fly ' where they meet Marmalade the cat! This is a delightful story, accompanied by vivid images and characters, which are fun for adults to read, and for children to participate in during the story-telling.
