Jennifer Bell' s MG novel Wonderscape was Waterstones Children' s Book of the Month. Her bestselling The Uncommoners series sold translation rights in 15 countries and was a Waterstones Children' s Book of the Month. Inspired by her career as a former children' s bookseller at Foyles, Jennifer is widely known for the magical story worlds she creates. Jennifer lives in Surrey. Co-creator Alice Lickens is an illustrator, author and designer based in London. Winner of the prestigious Sendak Fellowship for illustration, Alice is also Designer at London' s House of Illustration. She has worked as Quentin Blake' s designer and her picture books include Can You Dance to the Boogaloo? and How To Be A Cowboy, and the Explorer activity books series with the National Trust.
