They range from conventional Langford to his most successful fantasy tale, 'An elocutionist's guide to hijacking a library', to a dozen vignettes in 'The girls' house'. Most of the stories in the collection have been published in magazines and anthologies, whether here or overseas, and some have been publicly read by the author or by actors on radio. The styles show what makes Gary an accomplished storyteller and raconteur, in both the written and the oral form.
Gary presently writes and paints in Melbourne and Christchurch, and was there when the major earthquakes hit the garden city. This is his thirtieth publication.
