A fully comprehensive field guide to the 829 bird species of Malaysia (including Sabah and Sarawak) and Singapore. The species are clearly illustrated in over 170 plates, with many variants. The main identifying features of each species are described and key facts cover size, voice, range and status, habitat, specific country and breeding. The book also includes information on taxonomy and nomenclature, observing birds, climate, habitats, the breeding cycle, migration and conservation as well as a section on key birdwatching sites with maps.
Lim Kim Seng has more than 40 years' experience of birdwatching across Southeast Asia. He is a professional bird guide and has authored more than 10 books on birds.Yong Ding Li is vice-chair of the Southeast Asian Biodiversity Society and has published many research papers on birds, conservation and ecology. He also advises the IUCN SSC on Southeast Asian birds. Lim Kim Chuah is a committee member of the Nature Society (Singapore)'s bird group and one of the most experienced birdwatchers in Singapore. Dana Gardner has illustrated over 24 books on birds and natural history. He has spent 10 years living and working in Southeast Asia, and Central and South America.

Locally sourced in NZ - stock comes from a NZ supplier with an approximate delivery of 7-15 business days.

International Imports - stock is imported into NZ, depending on air or sea shipping option from the international supplier stock can take 10-30 working days to arrive into NZ. 

Pre-order Titles - delivery will vary depending on where the title is published, if local stock is available in NZ then 5-7 business days, for international imports it can be 10-30 business days. In all cases we will access the quickest supply option.

Delivery Packaging - we ship all items in cardboard sleeves or by box with either packing paper or corn starch chips. (We avoid using plastics bubble bags)
