Tracy J Holroyd has worked as a lecturer and writer of short stories and articles for several national children' s/teen magazines, including Shout and Cool Girl. She was commissioned by Hometown World to write the best-selling Children' s History of Manchester and Children' s History of Lancashire, before collaborating with her brother, David, to co-author the award-winning series The Perfect Pair Dolphin Trilogy.
