Rebecca Schiller is an author, journalist and activist. She is co-founder and trustee of the human rights charity Birthrights, a regular contributor to the Guardian and works two acres in the English countryside to encourage wildlife and grow food for her family. People Power: Amazing Activists is her first book for children. Sophie Beer is an award-winning illustrator/author living in Brisbane, Australia. She completed a dual degree in Law and Creative Industries with distinction at Queensland University of Technology but now works primarily in children' s and editorial illustration. Revelling in colour, shape and texture, she lives by one simple rule: art should never be boring. When she' s not illustrating and writing, she thinks a lot about plants, animals, music, books, and equality. Winner of the 2016 SCBWI Penguin/Random House Portfolio award.
