Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper is the godfather of shock rock, thanks to his inventive mix of vaudeville, horror film schlock, and three-chord rock ' n' roll. In Alice Cooper at 75, veteran music writer Gary Graff examines Cooper through 75 career accomplishments and life events. Readers will learn about Cooper' s childhood in Detroit and Arizona and early garage bands; studio albums and famous singles, like "I' m Eighteen" and "School' s Out"; collaborations with artists including Slash, Dave Grohl, and Johnny Depp; his passion for golf; and much more! Cooper is regarded as one of the most influential figures in hard rock and heavy metal. This book is an unprecedented retrospective. Every page is illustrated with stunning concert and candid offstage photography, as well as gig posters, vinyl record sleeves, period ads, and more. Bonus material includes a sturdy slipcase, a gatefold timeline, and a pullout poster and previously unpublished 8" 10".
