Catherine Polan Orzech, MA, LMFT, has taught mindfulness for over two decades. She is certified mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindful self-compassion (MSC) teacher; and is currently faculty in the departments of psychiatry, and obstetrics and gynecology, at Oregon Health & Science University, where she' s involved in research on mindfulness and women' s health. Previously, she served on the faculty at several leading mindfulness institutes, including those at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA; the University of California, San Francisco; and the University of California, San Diego. Catherine currently lives in Oregon, where she is a marriage and family therapist specializing in mindfulness-based psychotherapy.
